Suzanne Lago Arthur is a contemporary realist painter from Loudoun Co., Virginia and host and creator of The Creative Contemplation Podcast. Born in Puerto Rico to Cuban-American parents, her artistic explorations were nurtured from an early age by her family. After a relocation to the Washington DC area, Suzanne would spend almost every weekend of her childhood exploring the collections at the National Gallery of Art and studying after school with local painters. She credits these blessings with making her into the artist she is today.
Through her paintings Suzanne explores the themes of beauty, transience and memory. She has exhibited both nationally and internationally in such venues as the Corcoran Gallery of Art and Art Museum of the Americas in Washington DC, Booth Museum of Western Art in Cartersville, GA, the United States Interests Section, Havana, Cuba and in art galleries across the United States. She holds a BFA from the Corcoran School of Art and an MA in Museum Studies from George Washington University and teaches painting locally in the Washington DC area at Faith Chapel Gathering Place in Lucketts VA.
Suzanne was mentioned by name for the Havana exhibition in the New York Times article, “Lighting Matches in Cuba on the 4th” by Fred Bernstein and most recently in U.S. Ambassador Huddleston’s memoir on her service in Cuba, entitled Our Woman in Havana: A Diplomat's Chronicle of America's Long Struggle with Castro's Cuba.

The mission of Jupiter Theater Company LLC is to enrich the community and communicate universal truths through timeless theater.
We produce dramas seasonally, exploring works from both ancient and modern eras, for the enjoyment of the Northern Virginia community. Our goal with these productions is to cultivate wonder and inspire an appreciation for literature. We also offer educational opportunities to students who are eager to learn about drama both on and off the stage.
Jupiter Theater Company was established in 2019 to provide classical theater to the Northern Virginia community. Beginning with an outdoor production of Shakespeare's As You Like It, we have grown from there, always adding a twist to our performances, whether we perform in a two-play shared universe or a condensed time frame of two weeks.
With each production and performance, we push ourselves to grow as actors, and we push ourselves to better understand the script, our characters, and the world around us. As the cast and crew grows, so our performance evolves.
In 2021, we decided to spread our drive for growth and share our experience and knowledge of theater with the younger generation. We look forward to exciting many more audiences for years to come!
